Maseru Winter Open Chess Tournament

The Chess Federation of Lesotho (CFL) will be hosting the World Chess Federation (FIDE)- rated Maseru Winter Open Chess Tournament  on the 22nd and 23rd July 2017, at Lesotho High School. The tournament will consist of FIDE-rated prestige section and open section which will not earn players any point in the ratings.

The Federation of DanceSport Lesotho news





        

Federation of DanceSport Lesotho held a 2nd Latin Explosion on the 15th July 2017 which is the annual closed competition that its aim is to promote Latin American, to help our local qualified judges to go as far as international, and to choose Team Lesotho from the groups Juvenile, Junior, Youth, Adult at the Champion Level preparing them for the Open Competitions.The chosen Team gets an advantage of being paid for the training sessions and the trips and more other benefits.

Updates on the weekend activites


The Botswana Tennis Association will be hosting an annual Botswana Open Tournament mid-July 15th -18th 2017. Our Lesotho Lawn Tennis Team will be taking a trip to participate as it has been invited.

Weekend activities updates


Lesotho has been invited to the annual Dundee July Horse Racing event that will be hosted by the Kwazulu Natal Sport and Recreation on 14th and 15th July 2017. This festival feature traditional horse racing called Ukutelebhela (tripling) and other sporting activities including a street carnival, traditional dances and fashion. The main horse racing event will be on Saturday 15th July 2017. There will be eight races which include women race. Lesotho will be participating in grade 1 and 2 international races in which is allowed 3 horses on the field per race.

Likuena powers into COSAFA Semi-Finals





Likuena has qualified for the semi-finals of the Council of Southern Africa Football Association(COSAFA)  cup 2017 after  beating Namibia 5-4 the post match penalties shootout. Our home team Likuena will tackle the four times COSAFA cup winners Zimbabwe (tonight) on the 5th July 2017 at Maruleng Stadium in Rustenburg at 1930hrs
